About RW Seals

RW Seals is a specialist leak sealing company focused on metal seals for industrial leak repair. Building on our founders decades of experience in the field, RW Seals has brought M3 to the market, initially for targeted purposes such as SF6 leak sealing but we are pushing the boundary of applicability every day through our dedicated team of engineers.

Reducing risk and impact, one seal at a time

Our role is simple. Help operators keep critical infrastructure safe, available and lower impact. We do this by creating reversible, metal based sealing systems that recover leaks quickly, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and support long term decommissioning plans.

Reversible metal seals for high consequence environments

  • Reversible metal technologies

We develop and apply low temperature molten metal leak seal that can be reheated and removed. You recover performance now and keep options open for later.

  • Solutions for difficult assets

Our work focuses on places where leaks are hardest to tackle, either through access or inability to shut down the process, for example SF6 insulated switchgear.

  • From idea to deployment

Projects move from desktop assessment and design through testing and on site work, with the same team involved at every stage.

Proven Performance

We back every claim with data, test evidence and clear assumptions.

  • 20+

Developing metal alloy sealing technologies for extreme environments.

  • 50+

On electricity substations across the UK.

  • 15,000+ tCO2e

Sealed while the leak was flowing.

  • 15 Bar

Re-pressurisation tolerance demonstrated for M3 seals.

Three routes to sealed and stable

M3Spray

Molten alloy spray, applied directly against a flowing leak or defect with minimal surface preparation. Ideal for rapid response, complex assemblies and combined with robotics, applied in restricted access areas.

M3Cast

Alloy casting around pipes, joints and flanges. Custom moulds are placed around the repair site and filled with low melting point alloy for rapid, reversible leak recovery. Moulds are removed and reused.
