Technical Underpinning of M3 Alloy Sealing for Nuclear Applications
High hazard industries require a considered approach, underpinned by data.
Reversible molten metal technology for industrial leak repair, applied without taking assets offline.
Our Technology
M3 is a range of low melting point bismuth alloys which, using our specially designed equipment, are applied to a leak or defect to form a repair. Typically deployed at 150°C the alloy seal can be placed without damaging the asset. Ideal for small bore pipework, complex assemblies and restricted access locations. Can be applied to flowing leaks on live systems to keep operations going while making the repair.
M3 is rapid, requires minimal surface preparation and can be applied to a wide range of materials including metals, plastics and concrete
Our Solutions
Molten alloy spray, applied directly against a flowing leak or defect with minimal surface preparation. Ideal for rapid response, complex assemblies and combined with robotics, applied in restricted access areas.

Where we work
Alloy seals for leaks and defects in highly constrained critical infrastructure
Alloy seals for leaks and defects in highly constrained, remote or contaminated environments.
Eliminate process downtime from maintenance by repairing leaks in-service

What we do
We specialise in low temperature, reversible alloy seals that can be applied to live systems. M3 is directed into cracks, joints and defects, then solidifies in place to create seals that can later be reheated and removed if further works are planned.
Adopted for use on high voltage substations, we help operators solve difficult leaks with minimal operating interruption. How could your industry benefit from improved maintenance with reduced operating downtime?
Case studies
M3 technologies have been trialled and deployed with leading utilities, moving from innovation projects into live operations.
Case studies from National Grid, and industrial clients show how M3 reduces leaks, avoids outages and supports net zero goals.
